The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) became applicable on 12 August 2026, after entering into force in 2025. With core provisions now in application, the European plastics industry is moving from preparation to implementation: interpreting requirements, adjusting product and packaging portfolios, and aligning internal processes and supply chains.
